Portable rabbit ear antennas do not work very well in a since the analogue TV signal was switched off. Digital TV requires a more stable signal, otherwise, it breaks up. In the old days you could watch a snowy analogue picture and still see what going on. However, now the constant jittering and stuttering will drive you mad. Therefore, We recommend caravan TV users install a cable going to a point on the roof and a short permanent telescopic pole. That way, you can easily clip on a digital log-periodic caravan antenna. I don’t believe caravan Omni or T-bar antennas are acceptable for digital reception. In my experience, a log-periodic antenna works much better. Log-periodic, also called LPA or simply log antennas are best for digital reception.
